We are a privately owned and managed ‘country hotel in the town’ formally part of an old Mill dating back to around 1750. Our setting enjoys the clear waters of the River Wensum flowing passed the hotel’s front terrace and on under the ancient bridge. A small stream also flows through the rear garden of the hotel and yet the busy town centre of Fakenham is only 3 minutes walk away.

Our location offers you the easy access to the beautiful beaches of the North Norfolk coast, and the medieval cities of Norwich and Kings Lynn. Wensum Lodge caters for your individual needs, we can provide you with a complete wedding package, offering our honeymoon suite with a romantic champagne breakfast.

We have 17 en-suite bedrooms, many recently refurbished to complement the oak beamed ground floor of the hotel, providing our guests with a stay that is as comfortable as it is relaxing. Each room offers satellite television, a private telephone and beverage making facilities.

We hold a Two Star classification from the English Tourist Board, and have been awarded an RAC Two Star rating.

The Wensum Lodge Hotel, Norfolk, can cater for up to 200 people. We also have a private function room available for smaller parties. Our Christmas parties are a speciality.
